Brilliant description of what seems complex and new. I think I’d initially be annoyed because it’s so far from my past experiences at the theatre. But then I’d be able to lean into it.
I saw an echo of thinking I had reading Audition by Katie Kitamura. Sometimes there is a void, a gap that we as writer don’t need to stuff with cotton. We can acknowledge the gap and give credit to our readers for seeing the chasm.
